The Department of French Private law is the latest entrant to the Faculty of Law and Political Science. This gives a bijural perspective to studies in the Law Faculty of an Anglo-Saxon University. Created in 2017 by order of the Minister of Higher Education, the Department aspires to be, in the near future, a precursor in its own domain. The Department, therefore, intends to produce competent graduates in French Private Law on the basis of a programme which integrates the English Common Law, bearing in mind the fact that its graduates would have to work and function in Cameroon.

The department proposes innovative and adapted programmes at all levels of study in the BMD system. This would contribute in facilitating the achievement of Cameroon’s objective of becoming an emergent economy by 2035.
